Composite Skid Plate Kit

DESCRIPTION

Protect your canoe and increase its longevity with the Kevlar® Skid Plate Kit for Composite Canoes. Applying a skid plate to the ends of your Composite canoe increases its resistance to impact and abrasion. Our special pre-cut Kevlar® felts for Composite Canoes are narrower than others to provide you with unsurpassed end protection without hindering performance.

Our proprietary resin compounds provide an extremely secure bond between the Kevlar® Skid Plate and the gel coat or skin coat of your composite canoe. Enjoy your canoe for years to come by protecting it with our Kevlar® Skid Plate Kit for Composite Canoes.

(Recommendation: Add a Kevlar® Skid Plate only if you plan to paddle in challenging or remote waters and/or where you are likely to encounter significant abrasion or serious impact.)

Adds impact and abrasion protection to the end of a Composite canoe. Our special pre-cut Kevlar™ felts combined with our proprietary resin system gives a very secure bond to the gel coat or skin coat of a composite canoe. We recommend applying these only after you determine if you need them. The weight and thickness of the felt won’t benefit the performance of your canoe.
