I have been using this skirt with my Wilderness Systems Tempest 170. Primary use is long distance paddling in choppy intracoastal and nearshore waters. The skirt works as intended for for keeping spray out as well as keeping the cockpit dry when waves roll over the deck. The fit is good, around both my chest and the coaming. The loop handle at the fore of the cockpit is a nice touch and makes removal/installation a bit easier. I was hesitant to go with a neoprene/nylon skirt instead of full neoprene but am glad I did. The breathability of the nylon keeps that "cockpit funk" at bay when paddling in coastal South Carolina summers. One surprise from the skirt is that even when water puddles at the transition area between vertical chest fit and horizontal cockpit cover, even when allowed to sit for an extended amount of time, does not leak through. I'm here buying a second one to outfit the kayak I bought for my girlfriend, so, would recommend.
This replaces my July 31 rating of the Harmony skirt for a Perception Essence 17' sea kayak. The skirt size in the fit guide (36 x 19) is one size too small. I exchanged it for a 38 x 20, which is a bit large for it, but by adjusting the elastic cord I got it to fit.
